Many
of our guests are return visitors, and more still find their
way to us by word of mouth. But as much as we welcome families,
we're unable accommodate small children, and to ensure the
comfort of other guests, must discourage those with boisterous
or noisy youngsters

The Fisherman's Village is clearly
the product of a caring community that has dissuaded the more
unsavoury elements of Thai nightlife from setting-up shop
and better meeting the preferences of couples and young families.
Although there is some new construction, the beach road, which
runs through the village retains much of its charm. Old Chinese
shop-houses crowd the narrow street, many with sympathetic
conversions to modern use as restaurants and cafés. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
 |
The village boasts many
fine restaurants offering a wide choice of specialty
cuisines in addition to selected Thai dishes. French,
Italian, BBQ and seafood outlets predominate, but there
are several pubs and two bakeries offering standard
European style snacks and typical British and Australian
'Pub Grub'. Currently some 40 bars and restaurants are
located in little more than 700m of village street.
An increasing number of massage and bodycare outlets
have opening up in the small streets off the main beach
road, most offering excellent value for temporary rejuvenation
at bargain prices. |
|
|
| |
|
The beach itself encompasses
some 2km of course, white sandy shoreline fringed
by coconut palms. The calm waters of the bay make
this a popularspot for playing or relaxing.
Recognizing the uniqueness of Bophut as an attractive
and unspoilt village with its magnificent crescent
bay and proximity to currently, the island's only
golf course, several 5 star hotels are located at
the western end of the beach.
