LOCATION
Situated in the heart of Pattaya, the Montien Hotel enjoys a commanding
location facing the beach and the ocean, while all of the resort's

Pattaya...once called Asia's Queen of Resorts, is still holding
its own as a paradise for sun, sea and sand lovers and is often
referred to as the Thai Riviera.
Located just 147 kilometers southeast of Bangkok,
the resort has become a very popular get-away for locals and overseas
visitors alike. A lot has since been done to upgrade the city, which
now provides up-to-date amenities, shopping facilities and entertainment
activities to keep the fun going all-day and all-night long. There
is just about everything available to keep you fully occupied. It
is also a popular venue for international seminars, conventions
and trade shows.
CLIMATE
Blessed with a tropical climate, it is warm all year round with
cooler sea breezes from November to February. It becomes hot and
humid from March to June, with the monsoon season from July to October
when it is hot and wet.
TRANSPORTATION
Pattaya is a two-hour drive from Bangkok and Thai International
Airways has a limousine service from or to Bangkok Airport.
There are also regular bus services available from Pattaya to Bangkok,
departing at 6.00 a.m., 12 noon and 6.00 p.m. daily.
BUS TRANSFER
Roong Reung coach service operates regular air-conditioned buses
from their terminal at North Pattaya Road (see map) to Bangkok's
Ekamai Bus Terminal (Sukhumvit Road) every 30 minutes, starting
from 5.30 a.m. until 9.00 p.m. daily.
Their services to Bangkok's Northern Bus Terminal (Morchit Phaholyothin
Road) operate from 5.30 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. daily.
Bus connections to Northern Thailand (Chiangmai) are
available from this terminal.
