Chaloklum
Bay Resort is located on the quiet western end
of Ao Chalokum in front of the bay's only coral reef.
The resort includes modern facilities offering air-con
or fan rooms spaciously situated around a cental swimming
pool. The architect who designed the resort has fused
traditional Thai and modern influences to create a well
laid out and spacious landscape that is both pleasing
to the eye and functional.

All
the bungalows face the beach and are positioned so that
there is a sea view from every balcony and enough space
between them for complete privacy. The
resort was previously a coconut plantation and most of
the tall palms remain, giving shade to the lush gardens
and cooling the buildings. |

There are 30 bungalows
and four rooms to choose from, prices to suit any budget.
All fan rooms come with fan and bathroom attached. The
Air-Con bungalows are sea view, garden view or beachfront
- all include hot water, mini-bar and TV as standard and
have different bed options; some of the air-con bungalows
are big enough for a family or groups.

The resort is
has a spacious feel with plenty of distance between the
bungalows to ensure privacy and the rooms themselves are
all generously sized. The architecture is a fusion of
Thai and modern, with traditional decorative roofs, attention
to detail and sliding glass doors opening onto the furnished
balconies. |

The restaurant
and cocktail bar are located on the second floor of the
main two-story building presenting beautiful scenic views
over Ao Chaloklum. The experienced chef is at home with
both European and Thai cuisine, with fresh seafood specialties,
barbeques, pizzas and pasta on the extensive menu.

There is satellite
TV available on request, Safety Box is available at the
reception and the cocktail bar has a full range of drinks
to tickle your taste buds. On the beachfront, the Chili
Club beach bar has regular seafood barbeques, chilled
tunes and a variety of beers and cocktails. |

Chaloklum
Bay Resort is located just outside Chaloklum village
on the new concrete ring road that joins the north to
the west of the island. It is easily accessible from Thong
Sala, about 20 minutes drive away in a taxi. The village
has a small working port, where it is possible to organize
boat taxis and trips to virtually anywhere on the island.
