Delectable
Thai, Chinese, Japanese and European dishes are prepared by
the Wangcome chef at the famous Yoong Tong Restaurant. A romantic
mood is conjured by popular ballad music from our lovely songstresses.
There's upbeat disco sounds for dancing on into the night. The
bake shop is the big attraction at the moderately-priced Mayura
Restaurant. With traditional Thai and 'pop' music background,
the Lobby Lounge is ideal for casual or business conversation.
Our friendly and caring Wangcome staff are ready to respond
to your every need.

Without doubt, this
hotel is at the "Center of the action". The Wangcome Hotel
faces Chiang Rai Trade Center with its modern department store
and shops offering and exciting selection of silverware, tribal
souvenirs, Lanna fashions and Thai music. Within three blocks,
there are two main markets with irresistible displays of tropical
fruits and vegetables. Australian, German, Swiss, French,
American and Italian restaurants lie within a block of the hotel.
An if you're weary
from traveling try relaxing with a traditional Thai massage
at one of the three parlors close by. Be sure to spend
enough time to enjoy the wonderful variety of attractions in
fantastic Chiang Rai Province.

You will find a host
of fascinating things to do and see. King Mengrai founded Chiang
Rai in 1262 A.D. and his statue is at the start of the Mae Sai
road. In nearby Chiang Saen, a short hill climb gives a splendid
view of where the three Golden Triangle nations
meet. An elephant ride can take you to one of many cascading
waterfalls, or past terraced rice paddies. Doi Tung and Doi
mae Salong offer many scenic treats including a floral sculpture
garden at the Princess Mother's palace, enchanting country views,
exotic hilltribe costumes and culture, and beautiful Buddhist
temples. You may choose to
go rafting from Thaton to Chiang Rai - a two or three day trip
on the Kok River. Or, cruise the Maekong River from Chiang Khong.
We can help you arrange many memorable tours here at the Wangcome.
