Deluxe Garden Wing

Colonial style room, some have two levels with the bedroom above and a plush seating area below. Touches of old grandeur can be found inside, such as chandeliers and parquet floors.

The Deluxe rooms are newly renovated in a contemporary yet lavish style. Touches of the hotels long and illustrious heritage are still to be seen in the well-loved chandeliers, artwork and parquet flooring, all complemented by new armoires, ottomans and comfortable sofas, in a mix that is satisfyingly eclectic. The floor plan changes from room to room; some are split level, with a bedroom above and seating area below. All Deluxe rooms enjoy quiet river views, and some feature a private conservatory.

Deluxe Suite

For over a century, some of the greatest writers have sought escape and inspiration by staying with us. These suites have been designed to reflect their personalities.

Located in the River Wing, these individually designed and decorated suites echo some of the greatest figures in literature, in their names, décor and ambience. Each suite reflects accents of the authors personality.

All feature floor to ceiling windows, a balcony, spacious sitting room, a large bathroom with separate bathtub and walk-in shower as well as a powder room off the living room; many also have a walk-in closet.

Fresh flowers and fruit are delivered to your suite daily, and you have the services of your own personal butler. Approximately 92 square meters/985 square feet.

Executive Suite

Located in the River Wing, these elegant and spacious suites face North and have impressive River views.

Anyone staying on business or for an extended stay will appreciate the extra space and amenities that come with these elegant and spacious suites. There is a separate work area for getting down to business, which manages not to detract from the exotic finery on display in the traditional Thai style décor of dark teak and silk furnishings. Light floods in through the floor to ceiling windows, ideal for taking a break from work to admire the beautiful river view. Approximately 55 square meters/592 square feet.

Le Normandie

Lord Jims

The superlative menu at this seafood restaurant attracts diners from far and wide.

Named after the seafaring hero created by the novelist Joseph Conrad, Lord Jims reputation for magnificent seafood is almost as well-travelled as its namesake. It is renowned world wide, particularly for its sushi and sashimi dishes that are often to be seen in our buffet lunches and a la carte dinner menu.

After a complete and total transformation, the newly renovated restaurants concept focuses not only on the freshness and vastness of the sea which is reflected in the variety of exciting seafood dishes, but also on aquatic themes which are prevalent in the sophisticated and stylish décor.

The Barbecue Terrace has always been legendary and its most recent enhancements now make it a quintessential experience for guests who love a good Barbecue overlooking the majestic River of Kings.

In addition to the classic favorites, other highlights include Lebanese mezze and Kebabs, Indian Tandoori Ovens, Japanese Teppanyaki, Sushi Counter, fresh bread station by order, and Open Fire Rotisserie, Tandoori, daily lamb and turkey shawarma, Tepan triple pork chops on the bone, steamed tiger shrimp, chargrilled BBQ lamb and blue river lobsters. The dessert station has also been enhanced for those with a sweet tooth to include a variety of fresh desserts including a flambe table with crepes suzette, cherries jubilee, peach and banana flambé

The Verandah

Following a complete renovation in the summer of 2005, The Verandah offers new levels of all-day dining featuring a wide variety of Asian and Western dishes, all served in elegant contemporary Thai surroundings either indoors or outdoors on the banks of the Chao Phraya River.

Hotel guests may also enjoy newly landscaped gardens and pool areas, featuring private Cabanas for private and exclusive relaxation

This restaurant is nestled beside the lush tropical gardens of the Authors Lounge. Take your seat outside on its marble terrace and you can dine on the finest Italian fare, including the tastiest pizzas made in our own wood-fired oven and a variety of home-made pasta. To accompany it, choose from the freshest salads, with the sweetest ice creams to follow.

The Ballrooms
This exquisite room is a mixture of extravagance and elegance, with its high ceiling, chandelier and river life motifs festooning the walls. It has played host to royalty and heads of state, including charity events presided over by Her Majesty the Queen of Thailand. It can also be reconfigured into three smaller rooms for a more intimate function. 

The Embassy Room - Designed and appointed in the same opulent style as the Ballroom, this is the smaller sized option - but with the same luxurious ambience.

The Board Room - An impressive board room in the traditional style, easily adaptable for a social function of between six and 24 guests.

The Regency Room - Originally the lobby where one could watch the world go by, the Regency Rooms were also recently restored to their former elegance. Hand-woven Thai silk panels in a turn-of-the-century French pattern now adorn the walls, while the French windows look out on to the cool and inviting Authors Terrace.

The focal point of the Regency Rooms is the ornate, full length mirrors at either end, reflecting the warm glow of the two hand-cut crystal chandeliers. The rooms elegance and intimacy is further enhanced by the comfortable sofas and chairs, decorated with gold fabric. They are set out to resemble a living room, or can be re-arranged for private cocktails and dinners
